Our process is simple. Here is how it works.

Our associates represent property owners in the negotiation process with applicable county assessment personnel.

There are two stages in the appeal process.
1. On behalf of our clients we will first file a Proposition 8 Decline In Value.

2. If necessary, we proceed with filing a request for hearing with the Assessment Appeals Board.

TAA will prepare all documents, research property comparables and perform all necessary due diligence to insure that the case is properly presented to the Assessment Appeals Board.

Timing
On average the process for a Proposition 8 filing can take up to 90 days for an assessor review. The Assessment Appeals Board hearing process can average an additional 3 to 6 months.

Fees
Our clients will not pay upfront fees. Once a reduction in property tax is confirmed, billing is based on a predetermined percentage of the actual savings.
